The BIRD™ (Belt Installation and Rotation Device) tool offers a safe way to install or inspect your rotary drive devices while keeping your hands and fingers completely clear of pinch points.
While the process is stopped and locked, the BIRD™ device makes it easy and safe for the operator to maintain the Belt drive.
Prior to the launch of BIRD™, the maintenance operator had to pull on the belt or grasp the pulley or sprocket edges to rotate the drive during a belt inspection or installation. This manipulation is dangerous and entails a risk of pinching the hand or fingers during rotation.
