The mechanical fastening system ERO Joint® HP (Hinge Pin) for FOOD INDUSTRY is available for pitches H, T10, AT5, AT10, T20, AT20, 8M, 14M, WT10 and WH for all widths above 10 mm with reinforcement Steel, Kevlar or Stainless steel.
The mechanical resistance of pin lock belts ERO Joint® HP is equivalent to welded belts.
Metal components are in stainless steel. No minimum diameter required.
The ERO Joint® HP splice is compatible with all types of guiding.
Note regarding food contact in area ERO Joint® HP:
Top layer (blue) that may come into contact with food:
- Blue Polyurethane coating meets the requirements of regulations 1935/2004, 2023/2006 and 10/2011
Migration tests are compliant to the annex III Table 2, for dry, moist, acid, fat and alcohol containing products, for 2H at 70°C.
Tests were made with simulants A, B, & D2, for 2H at 70°C
The products do not change the organoleptic properties of food.
The aforementioned product contains no dual purpose additives in accordance to regulations (CE) No.1333/2008 (food additives) & (CE) No. 1334/2008 (flavors) in their current version.
Bottom layers (transparent) that may not come into contact with food:

Specific and global migration tests were made following the regulation 10/2011:
For contact with moist products, migration data are below the thresholds for 3x2h at 70°C
For contact with fat products, migration data are below the thresholds for 2h at 70°C by applying a minimum reduction coefficient of 3
After migration test, residual isocyanates are Bottom than the limit fixed by the regulation
(This Polyurethane is not in contact with food. If the opposite occurs, migration tests made show that there are no danger.)

- ERO Joint® HP Pin is in Stainless Steel 316L without food grade certification
We consider that the top layer acts as a functional barrier within the meaning of the article 14 from the regulation CE 10/2011 and avoid migration of bottom layer components to food.
As such, food should not be in contact with bottom layer and when the top layer will be damaged, the item must be replaced.
Note regarding retention areas:
The item includes potential retention areas (cutting of ERO Joint®). These potential retention areas must be cleaned regularly.
